Hazard	Who may be harmed?	Is the risk controlled?	What action is needed to control the risks?
Bright Lighting	Actors in the scene when the lights are on them	The actors will be instructed not to look at the lights as it could cause serious injury	The lights could be placed at the ground of above the actor’s heads or they could also be dimmed.
Wires from light cables on the floor and cameras.	Actors in the scene and people in and around where it is being filmed.	The risk can be controlled by having a sign where the cables are so actors are clearly notified.	The cables can be painted a fluorescent colour and make sure the wires are taped down to the floor to prevent tripping.
Electrical sockets	Actors in the scene and people in and around where the scene is being filmed.	The risk is controlled by having waterproof protectors in front of the electrical sockets.	This can be controlled by making sure no one drinks or eats near the plug socket, if water is spilled on it this can cause serious damage.
Tripod Legs	Actors in the scene and can affect people in and around where the scene is being filmed.	Make sure that all students and staff are aware that there is a mounted tripod here, a sign may also be useful so people know where it is.	Students should be continually reminded what the safety precautions are. A supervisor will constantly stand in front of it.
Students filming independently on and off site. (Staff involved in this project only).	Students could be harmed if something goes wrong and also members of the general public.	Students will be given a safety brief and all staff at the school and parents will be notified that students will be off site. Signing out will be necessary.	Students will have to stay in touch with a teacher and check in with them every 10mins to make sure everything is ok. Extra school risk assessments may be mandatory.
